What I ordered vs What I gotI ordered what was advertised as a “gourmet sympathy basket” from this florist, spending $131 including delivery. What was delivered to our area executive—who had just lost his father-in-law—was anything but gourmet. The basket looked like it was thrown together from items bought at a local Aldi, and not a single product listed on the website was included.When I raised my concerns, the owner hid behind a substitution disclaimer. I fully understand substitutions happen, but a complete swap-out of everything pictured and described is not a substitution—it’s a bait-and-switch. To make matters worse, the sympathy note was nearly illegible, leaving the recipient unable to even tell who the basket was from.The owner also told me he would’ve needed “a few days” to source the actual items. If that was the case, why not call me and offer alternatives, or at the very least manage expectations? Instead, I paid over $100 for something I could have assembled myself for under $20. His response? That he’s “a florist” and doesn’t specialize in gourmet baskets. If that’s true, perhaps don’t advertise them on your website.This was meant to be a thoughtful gesture in a sensitive moment, and instead it turned into an embarrassment. I am relieved this did not go to one of our customers. Highly disappointed and will not be ordering here again.

The "precious" floral arrangement for Mom's 90th birthday was so beautiful that I had to find out where it came from—turns out it was from NY Floral. I had the best experience with NY Floral Design! We requested a vintage style centerpiece for our dinner at Eddie V's. I received quick responses and on the day itself, I was surprised to find a beautiful centerpiece of just the right size and style. It really added such ambiance to our event. Hilton (the owner) was incredibly personable and checked in to make sure the design had all the right elements for our special occasion. I can't recommend them enough.

We had another wonderful experience with New York Floral Design today. We began working with them in 2009 and Hilton, the owner, is still there (in business 26 years). As we now spend most of the year out of the country, we don't order very often, but we had a friend in West Palm Beach having a "monumental" birthday and needed something exquisite! We were thrilled to reconnect with Hilton! He was professional, friendly and eager to get the job done right even if that meant doing it himself. He gets his flowers direct from the large growers/farms so he delivers a premiere product - we never have to be concerned about the quality. Thank you Hilton and staff for coming through once again for us.

Wonderful experience!They stepped up after I was scammed by a large floral service and delivered abeautiful arrangement within hours. Daughter picked up the corsage and boutonnière for prom. Paid $75. No one was there. The left in heat at restaurant next door. Wilted. Corsage was same size as little boutonnière. Discussed color of baby dress when purchased. Corsage has royal blue. Totally wrong color. Terrible. My daughter is fine but way to show so little care in your product. DONT EVER USE THIS CRAPPY FLORIST.This is not an edit. It is a response to the many excuses for a terrible terrible excuse of a corsage. 3 flowers. A ribbon that barely even covered the tying of huge corsage. For $75. Make all the excuses you want. You should be embarrassed. I am embarrassed for you. Don not ever use this florist.

This wonderful shop was able to put together STUNNING arrangements for my wedding with only one days notice (I eloped.) I ordered a bridal bouquet, a corsage for my mom, a grooms flower and a flower girls halo. The halo was particularity impressive. I could not believe the detail. It was just stunning and also very functional. Stayed perfectly on my 9 year olds head all day and didn’t wilt in the hot sun (I had a July wedding.) They delivered all of these wonderful arrangements to my hotel the next morning, exactly on time. They truly made a significant contribution to my special day. I can say with confidence they really do LOVE what they do and they are extremely talented and professional. Highly recommend. Can not say enough good things.

Let me start off by saying it was very hard finding a florist who would even talk to me because my wedding was only 50 people. However, I am so glad that I found NY Floral Design! I am blown away with what they were able to do for my wedding.After showing some inspiration pictures and meeting to see samples, they were able to make exactly what I wanted and at a fair cost. Ordered two dozen roses with the deluxe upgrade for one of our long time employees retirement. The owner spoke with me on the phone and was extremely gracious and accommodating! I was given this florist by a nearby local resident and they sent the most magnificent huge fresh Wild flower Bouquet to our daughter for her birthday that anyone in our family has ever seen. New York floral made my vision become a reality for my wedding. I didn’t want to do the typical or traditional wedding flowers that you see at every wedding. The staff were wonderful to work with and really understood what look I was going for. They used the theme for my wedding, which was tropical, and created centerpieces that were amazing! The hupah was awesome and my bouquet was fabulous! I would definitely recommend them.

I love NY Floral Design. So far, I've used them twice, both arrangements were for my dad, and each arrangement was spectacular. I do mean absolutely beautiful. Buyer beware. I contracted this business to design 2 floral arrangements. They came to my home and had me look in a catalogue. I selected the flowers that I liked and the designer took weeks to finish one of the pieces for my kitchen table. The owner called me in advance and said the 2 arrangements would cost $600 and I paid him $300.00 over the phone. I thought maybe that was a bit pricey but I was going to receive 2 beautiful pieces! Wrong! He brought the kitchen piece and was prepared to design the other arrangement in my home. When he walked in, I informed him of my dissatisfaction. He said, we were only able to purchase one flower and I knew you wouldn't like the arrangement. The question in my head was, why wouldn't he have called me? When he pulled out the material for the second arrangement and placed one, yes one, flower in the styrofoam the flower wobbled. I asked him again, how will this flower stay in place? He responded, we will lean it against the wall. He finally said that he would take the unfinished piece back to the shop and purchase some sticks to compliment the piece. After serious thought, I called the owner in the morning and said I just want my vases back and perhaps he could find it in his heart to give me back something for my $300. deposit. When I spoke to him he said I can have 1 large flower, three small flowers (that you can purchase at Michaels for pennies) and a small bag of rocks and leaves if I provide him with another $150.00! I thought I heard him incorrectly! If he would have given one flower or something I would have been happy. I said that I will not give him another penny and with that he said come pick up your vases. This is a horrific way to do business and I would have rather given a homeless person my $300.00.

Ive been using New York Floral Design for over 2 years now. They have proved time and time again that they are not only the best in the area, but some of the best in the industry. It doesn't matter if you know exactly what flowers to send someone or you rely on the expertise of their team, you're in great hands when it comes to your floral arrangement. The shop itself is very clean, the owners and staff are so accommodating and helpful that it makes the entire experience very nice. Can't thank the team enough.

I saw this florist when I was getting my hair done next store and I stopped in quickly to see what they offered in terms of doing wedding flowers and was blown away. Lynette took the time to talk to me right away, I gave her my information and she let me set up a consult whenever it was good for me. The consult was amazing...I had some general ideas of what I wanted but nothing too specific; however they pulled out all these different flowers and fillers which made things so much easier. Not only did Lynette sit down with me but both her designers sat down with me for more than an hour and went over in detail what we could do. They literally drew designs of different pieces I needed and listed all the flowers we would use in my bouquets, boutounierrs, corsages etc. The attention they gave was unbelievable. To top off the wonderful consult the price Hilton delivered for everything I needed was beyond reasonable. I was truly blown away. They gave me the option to take some time to think about if I wanted to use them but I signed the contract right there. I could not pass on their amazing work, attention to detail, kindness and price. They do only one wedding a weekend and their designers deliver the flowers themselves. No random delivery people who drop the flowers off and leave. I cannot wait to see the finished project and highly highly recommend NY Florist to everyone no matter the occasion. Thank you NY Florist for making my wedding planning so much easier.

I was completely blown away by the personal touch and exceptional customer service!! I called New York Floral Design during the late-evening hours; the phone was promptly answered. I talked with Hilton at great length about the arrangement I would like him to create and deliver to a friend of mine in Boca Raton (I was calling from SC). He went the extra, extra mile to insure the arrangement was as I described to him (bright, up-beat and cheerful) , and that it would be delivered first thing that morning -- he even took pictures to show me what the arrangement looked like before delivery. I will definitely be using this florist again! 🙂
